As recently as 2008 there was buzz that Fables would be turned into a television series, but that buzz has died down and no filming has ever taken place.
The new rumors would have Warner Bros. producing the movies as Fables is a DC owned property.
It is also being reported that David Yates (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) could be on board to direct.
What isn’t being said is which story arc the film would follow. It’s likely that we will see many of the adapted fairytale characters in the story and there’s a strong possibility that it could center on Snow White and her cheating ex-husband Prince Charming.
There will be a lot more news coming in the future is this is going to come to pass. And I have a feeling that it would be a mid to late 2012 release.
